Karan Johar's big decision, now Dharma Productions will not pre-screen any film

Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has taken a big decision. Dharma Productions will no longer pre-screen any film. The production house has issued a statement in this regard. The reason for this is also explained in this letter signed by Dharma Productions co-founders Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta.

Addressing the media, the letter said that “Over the years, indeed decades, audiences have stood solidly behind Dharma Productions, supporting our films, sharing our dreams and celebrating our victories. Your trust has been a driving force for us during this journey. We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and every coverage, review and feedback has been invaluable to us, they have undoubtedly helped us reach our audience.”

The letter further reads, “As we move forward, we find ourselves at a point where we must adapt our approach and innovate. “After much deliberation, we have unanimously decided to avoid pre-release screenings for our upcoming films.” It is a bit difficult for us, but we feel this step is very important. Every audience, including our friends in the media, is a witness to our stories.

The production house clarified that although there will be no pre-release screening, they will organize a screening for the media on the first day of the film's release for timely reviews. “We understand the importance of timely reviews and their role in the success of our films. Therefore, we are happy to announce that we will be organizing press screenings for each of our films on the first day of their release. We heartily welcome all media personnel. To attend, where you will witness our latest decision”.

Dharma Productions is currently busy promoting Alia Bhatt starrer 'Jigra'.
