Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the list of holidays for bank employees in the month of October. Banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days in the month of October. This will include national holidays, religious festivals as well as election dates. The days of festivals have now started. There will be holiday in banks also on the occasion of Durga Puja and Navratri.

Get your work done from the bank before the holidays

Keep in mind that if you have any work in the bank during the holiday, then get it done well in advance. Bank branches will definitely remain closed during the holiday but online and digital services will remain operational. Let us know the complete list of holidays.

October 10: Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Kohima and Kolkata on the occasion of Durga Puja/Dussehra.

October 11: On the occasion of Dusshera (Mahashtami/Mahanavami) (Ayudha Pooja/Durga Puja (Dasain)/Durga Ashtami in Agartala, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Kolkata, Patna, Shillong, Ranchi Banks will remain closed.

October 12: On the occasion of Second Saturday and Dussehra, Agartala, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad – Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad – Telangana, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow. Banks will remain closed in , Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram. Banks will remain closed in Gangtok on 14 October, in Karnataka, Assam and Himachal Pradesh on 17 October, and in Gujarat and West Bengal on 31 October.
