Ingredients for Vegetable Roti

  • Flour – 1 cup
  • Lemon juice – one teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Green vegetables – 1 cup boiled
  • Onion – one spoon
  • Green chillies – 2-3 chopped
  • Coriander – finely chopped
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp

Vegetable Roti Recipe

  • To make this nutritious roti made from vegetables, first wash and cut all the vegetables thoroughly.
  • You can take any green vegetable of your choice. Peas, carrots, cabbage, corn, capsicum, spinach etc.
  • Now boil all the vegetables in water. Put them in a bowl, cool them and mash them well.
  • Add finely chopped green chillies, coriander seeds, onion, cumin powder, black pepper powder, lemon juice, salt and mix everything well.
  • Now add one cup flour into it. Add lukewarm water, mix well and knead the dough.
  • Keep in mind that the dough should not be too wet and hard.
  • Now knead the dough to make roti.
  • Do not roll it with a rolling pin but press it with your palm and give it a round shape like roti.
  • Keep the pan on gas. When it becomes hot, add roti to it and fry it.
  • Apply light oil on both sides and cook on medium flame. Roti with nutritious vegetables is ready.
  • You can also fry without applying oil. Eat it hot with curd, chutney or tomato sauce.
  • With this you can take any gravy or dry vegetable.
