What did CEC Rajiv Kumar say on the allegations of Congress and other parties raising questions on EVMs?, CEC Rajiv Kumar gave this answer to the allegations of Congress and other parties raising questions on EVMs.

New Delhi. The Election Commission has today announced the dates of Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections. During this, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar also responded to the allegations of various political parties including Congress regarding electronic voting machine (EVM) hacking. Rajiv Kumar once again declared EVM completely safe and said that it is not possible to hack it. He said that nowadays the question is being raised that when pager can be blasted then why EVM cannot be hacked, but it is wrong to compare EVM with pager. The pager is connected but nothing like this happens in EVM. This is why EVM is safe.

On the allegations made by Congress on EVMs in connection with the Haryana Assembly elections, CEC Rajeev Kumar said, we will also respond to 20 complaints with facts. He said that the people of Haryana, by participating in the elections in large numbers, have replied that EVMs are 100 percent foolproof. Congress's allegations are baseless. Let us tell you that after the defeat in Haryana Assembly elections, Congress is blaming EVMs. The Congress delegation had also lodged a complaint with the Election Commission regarding the malfunction in EVMs.

However, this is not the first time that Congress or other political parties have targeted EVMs after the defeat. Wherever Congress loses the elections, it starts blaming EVMs and wherever it wins the elections, EVMs work perfectly fine. BJP always counters Congress's EVM related allegations on this issue. BJP says that Congress is silent on the recent victory of its ally National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir, where it does not see any shortage in EVMs, whereas questions are being raised on EVMs in Haryana.
