CTET December 2024 application ends tomorrow; exam on December 1

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 December session exam application process tomorrow, October 17. Candidates can fill out the CTET 2024 application form through the official website, ctet.nic.in. The CTET 2024 December session application fee for the general category candidates is Rs 1,000 for one paper, and Rs 1,200 for both papers. For the Other Backward Caste (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC) and disabled category candidates the application fee is Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both papers.

To apply for the CTET 2024 exam, candidates need to go to the official website and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link. Complete the registration to get the credentials. Once the credentials are generated log in and fill out the online application form. While applying, enter the personal and academic details, upload the required documents and make payment of the application fee. After submitting the application form, candidates are advised to download and take the printout of the application form for records.

CTET Exam Pattern 2024

CTET paper 1 and paper 2 will have a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. The CTET exam will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test. The questions will be divided in five sections in paper 1, while paper 2 will have four sections. As per the CTET marking scheme, for every correct answer, one mark will be awarded. There will be no negative marking for the incorrect responses.

Candidates will be able to download the CTET admit card using the login credentials two days before the exam. Before the release of the hall ticket, CBSE will activate the CTET city intimation slip online.

The CTET paper 1 exam is conducted for teachers recruitment posts for Class 1 to Class 5. The paper 2 exam is held for the recruitment of teachers for Class 6 to Class 8.
