New Delhi: Actress Raveena Tandon made headlines after she was mobbed in Mumbai in June this year. The locals accused her driver of rash driving and assaulting three women. Now, the actress has revealed that a day after she was mobbed, actress Richa Chadha also faced a similar incident where she was mobbed.
The actress also revealed that the mob attack was pre-planned as per the Mumbai Police. However, Richa couldn’t prove her innocence and because of the lack of evidence, she had to pay. Later, police informed Richa that the attack was also pre-planned to get money.
When Richa Chadha was attacked by mob
In an interview with NewsX Live, actress Raveena Tandon expressed that unfortunately, pre-planned mobbing of celebrities has been going on in Mumbai. She said that the day after she was attacked by a mob, Richa called and told her, “Raveena, you won’t believe it, the same thing happened!”
However, in Richa’s case, there were no CCTV cameras to capture the truth so she had to settle the matter by paying up. But, it was pre-planned too.
Raveena shared that the incident that happened with her was probably to intimidate and threaten her so she offered to pay up. She recalled the mob being so “aggressive” that they entered her house and started beating her staff while her kids were also in the house and her husband wasn’t. She shared that the mob kept pushing and demanding to surrender the driver. However, Raveena told them that if her driver was at fault, the police would take action against him but they couldn’t take the law into their own hands.
