S Jaishankar In SCO Summit: ‘If there is no trust, there is nothing’, PM Modi’s envoy scolded him on Pakistan soil, apart from the dragon, he also mentioned these three enemies!

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed the SCO summit on Wednesday (October 16). The Foreign Minister said that all countries have to avoid terrorism, separatism and fundamentalism. In this conference, without naming Pakistan, the Foreign Minister reprimanded Pakistan for terrorism. He said that trust is necessary for a better relationship. If there is no trust then nothing. The Indian Foreign Minister shared some important points of his speech on his ex-handle. He wrote that India’s national statement was given in the meeting of the Heads of Government of the SCO Council in Islamabad this morning. He said that SCO represents the forces of change on which much of the world trusts. Let us fulfill that responsibility.

Targeted on terrorism-separatism

S Jaishankar said the SCO’s primary goal of countering terrorism, separatism and extremism is even more important in the present times. That requires honest dialogue, trust, good neighborliness and commitment to the SCO Charter. He further said that, SCO needs to be firm and uncompromising in combating the three evils. At the same time, globalization and rebalancing are the realities of the present time. SCO countries need to take this forward.

China was also scolded

The Indian Foreign Minister said that cooperation should be based on mutual respect and sovereign equality. He further said that territorial integrity and sovereignty should be recognized and should not be based on one-sided agenda, but on genuine partnership. The SCO cannot progress if we choose global practices, especially trade and transit. Also industrial cooperation can increase competition and expand labor markets. MSME collaboration, collaborative connectivity, environmental protection and climate action are possible avenues. Whether it’s health, food or energy security, we are clearly better off working together.

Discussed these issues also

Leading India, S Jaishankar said Indian initiatives and efforts like DPI, women-led development, ISA, CDRI, Mission Life, GBA, YOGA, Bajra, International Big Cat Alliance etc. have strong relevance to SCO. The SCO should take the lead in advocating that global institutions need to maintain coordination through reformed multilateralism to make the UNSC more representative, inclusive, transparent, efficient, effective, democratic and accountable. He further said that to renew our resolve to achieve the objectives of the SCO, it is necessary that we keep in mind the mutuality of interests and adhere to the dos and don’ts of the Charter.
