Reliance Jio has demonstrated a technology at the India Mobile Congress 2024 that can easily convert smart TVs of homes into computers. This technology named Jio Cloud PC will convert TV into computer for just a few hundred rupees. All it requires is internet connection, smart TV, typing keyboard, mouse and Jio Cloud PC app. For those whose TVs are not smart, even their ordinary TVs can become computers through the set-top box that comes with JioFiber or JioAirFiber.
Actually Jio Cloud PC is a technology by which any TV will be able to connect to cloud computing through internet. It is also easy to use, the consumer just needs to login to the app and all the data stored in the cloud will be visible on the TV.
All the work which can be done on computer like email, messaging, social networking, internet surfing, school projects, office presentation can be done on home TV. In simple words, all the data will be on the cloud and services like server, storage, database, networking, software and analytics can be used through TV.
Indian middle class families hardly have access to computers. In such a situation, this technology is like a boon. Because the capacity of cloud computing can be increased or decreased as per the need. Not only is it secure, data recovery is also easier than using a normal computer. Along with TV, it can also be used on mobile. Although the company has not yet announced the launch date of this app, but it can be launched in the market in the next few months.
