Delhi: The Election Commissioner was going towards Milam by helicopter, but before that, the plane of Central Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had to make an emergency landing in Munsiyari, Uttarakhand. According to the information, due to bad weather, his plane had to land at Ralam in Munsiyari.
During this time, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande was also present with him in the plane. It is being told that on Tuesday, the Chief Election Commissioner had announced the dates of Jharkhand and Maharashtra assembly elections, where he also answered the questions related to the elections and EVM machines.

In which he had described the EVM elections as completely safe and fair and said that during the recent elections held in Haryana, he would answer all the complaints regarding EVM machines and every complaint would be answered in writing. EVM is checked not once but several times.
It is being told that Rajiv Kumar has been working as the Election Commissioner since September 1, 2020 and he is the 25th Chief Election Commissioner of the country. Rajiv Kumar has assumed charge on 15 May 2022 and will hold the post till 18 February 2025. According to the Indian Constitution, the tenure of the Election Commissioner is 6 years or till the age of 65 years.
