Acharya Deep Kumar told that every year Sharad Purnima is celebrated on the full moon date of Ashwin month and kheer is also kept in the rays of the moon. He told that the Purnima Tithi will start at 8:40 pm on October 16 and end at 4:55 pm on October 17. Therefore, this year Sharad Purnima will be celebrated on Wednesday, 16 October.

Who is worshiped on Sharad Purnima?

Acharya Deep Kumar says that Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi are worshiped on the day of Sharad Purnima. According to religious texts, worshiping Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi on Sharad Purnima brings happiness and prosperity in the lives of devotees. At the same time, his pending work also starts getting completed. Apart from this, the moon of Sharad Purnima also has special significance. Acharya Deep Kumar said that on the occasion of this full moon, nectar rains from the rays of the moon. Therefore it is also called Amrit Kaal.

When to keep kheer in moonlight?

Acharya Deep Kumar told that on October 17, Brahma Muhurta will be from 4:45 am to 5:32 am. Whereas Vijay Muhurta will also be from 2:01 pm to 2:47 pm. Apart from this, the twilight time will be from 5:50 pm to 6:15 pm. In such a situation, the devotees will also get the fruits of the auspicious work done at this time. Acharya told that Revati Nakshatra will start on October 16 at 7:18 pm on Sharad Purnima and Revati Nakshatra is considered auspicious. In such a situation, kheer can be kept after 8.40 pm on 16th October. Keep the kheer in the rays of the moon all night. Distribute it among all the devotees as Prasad on 17th October. So that all the devotees can get the benefit of this kheer in the form of nectar.

Importance of Kheer on Sharad Purnima

Acharya Deep Kumar explains that Sharad Purnima is also called Amrit Kaal, hence on this day devotees prepare kheer and keep it in moonlight for the whole night and consume it the next day. Acharya says that on the night of Sharad Purnima, the rays of the moon give special medicinal properties to the kheer. And many diseases are cured by its consumption.
