PM Modi To CM Abdullah News In Hindi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated National Conference (NAC) leader Omar Abdullah on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and said the central government should work with him for the progress of the Union Territory.

In a post on PM's 'X' shortly after Abdullah's swearing-in ceremony, Modi said, “Congratulations to Omar Abdullah ji on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Best wishes to him in his efforts to serve the people. The Center will work closely with him and his team for the progress of Jammu and Kashmir. (PM Modi congratulated CM Abdullah)

Abdullah was sworn in as the first Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. This is the first elected government in the union territory after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha administered the oath of office to Abdullah as Chief Minister. Abdullah is the Chief Minister for the second time and is the third generation of the Abdullah family to hold the post after his grandfather Sheikh Abdullah and father Farooq Abdullah. Omar's first term as chief minister was from 2009 to 2014, when Jammu and Kashmir was a full-fledged state. In 2019, the entire state was divided into 2 union territories – Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, and most of the provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution, which gave it special status, were abrogated.(PM Modi congratulated Cm Abdullah )
