Before the mega auction of IPL 2025, an important news has come out regarding Sunrisers Hyderabad. According to media reports, the franchise can retain South African wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen, Australian captain Pat Cummins and Indian all-rounder Abhishek Sharma.

According to the report, Hyderabad will add Klaasen as their first retained player for Rs 23 crore. After this, Cummins and Abhishek will be retained for an amount of Rs 18 crore and Rs 14 crore respectively. According to the report, there is a strong possibility of retaining Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy also. BCCI will have to tell the franchises by 31st October which players they are retaining.

Cummins, who captained Sunrisers to the final last season where they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders. He will remain the captain of the franchise in 2025. Cummins was successful in dismissing 18 batsmen while bowling in 15 innings of IPL 2024.

He was SRH's third highest scorer after Head and Abhishek. Klaasen added 479 runs to his account in 15 innings in IPL 2024 with the help of an excellent strike rate of 171.07. During this period, he has seen 4 half-centuries with his bat. Head had scored 567 runs in 15 innings. In IPL 2024, he has scored one century and 4 half-centuries. Talking about young left-handed batsman Abhishek, he has scored 484 runs in 16 innings with the help of an excellent strike of 204.21. He has 3 half-centuries in his name in IPL 2024.

Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 303 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 142.92 and also took three wickets, showcasing his all-round skills. With the help of this performance, he got a chance to debut in the T20 International series against Bangladesh and he has left his mark by performing well.
