Gopeshwar, 16 October (Hindustan Reporter). District Magistrate Chamoli Sandeep Tiwari on Wednesday reviewed the proposals for development schemes proposed under the Vibrant Village Programme. During this, while discussing the department-wise proposals, he said that all the departments should coordinate and prepare the proposals, so that repetition of the proposals of the schemes can be avoided.

While reviewing the Vibrant Village program department wise, the District Magistrate instructed the Chief Agriculture Officer to make a proposal for a cold storage unit and processing unit. Ordered to prepare appropriate proposals for the Chief Medical Officer for the development of health facilities. He directed UREDA to make a proposal for installing solar panels in Anganwadi and instructed RWD to construct a guest house and museum in Pahari style.

The Tourism Officer was ordered to provide the report on the current tourist movement in Vibrant Village in summer and winter. He asked the departmental officer to coordinate with the Agriculture and Horticulture Department and prepare a proposal for the construction of irrigation canals. In order to connect the villagers of Vibrant Village with banking facilities, LDM was instructed to make a plan to establish a bank or mini bank.

The General Manager of the Industries Department gave instructions to prepare proposals for setting up machines and outlets to improve the quality of handicraft production and arrangements for marketing, while also talking about selecting land and preparing proposals for the construction of community toilets in villages.

In the meeting, Project Director Anand Singh gave detailed information about the proposed and conducted works for basic facilities and livelihood development in Vibrant Villages. He said that under the Vibrant Village Programme, the border villages of Neeti, Gamshali, Bampa, Farkiya, Malari, Kosha, Kailashpur, Mahargaon, Guru Kuti, Mana, Bamani, Gajkoti, Kurkuti and Joshimath in Chamoli district are being benefited. In these villages, work is being done for the development of basic facilities and livelihood generation along with benefiting all the eligible people under the schemes of the Central and State Government.

Chief Development Officer Nandan Kumar, Project Director Anand Singh, CMO Rajkesh Pandey, Tourism Officer Brijendra Pandey etc. were present in the meeting.
