Neetu David becomes the second Indian female player to be inducted into ICC Hall of Fame, joins Sachin-Dravid's list

Sports Desk: ICC has given special honor to three players on Wednesday. In this, along with Indian women players, wicketkeeper batsman of South Africa and batsman of England have been included. ICC has included former Indian spinner Neetu David in its Hall of Fame. Along with them, AB de Villiers and Alastair Cook have got a place in this list.

Many players from India are already included in the Hall of Fame. This list includes Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Diana Edulji and Virender Sehwag. The ICC Hall of Fame was launched in January 2009 as part of the International Cricket Council's centenary celebrations. Since then, ICC has honored many legendary players by including them in this list.

Left-arm spinner Neetu played more than 100 international matches (10 Tests and 97 ODIs) for India. 47-year-old Neetu is India's second most successful bowler in One Day International cricket with 141 wickets. She also became the first woman bowler in the country to touch the 100-wicket mark in the 50-over format. Neetu, the most successful bowler of the World Cup 2005, played an important role in taking India to the final for the first time.

South Africa's AB de Villiers has scored 8765 runs in 114 test matches in his career. He has scored 9577 runs in 228 ODIs and 1672 runs in 78 T20Is. England's Alastair Cook scored 12472 runs in 161 Tests in his career. He has scored 3204 runs in 92 ODIs and 61 runs in four T20Is.

After being included in this list, Neetu said that it is an honor to be included in this list. This comes after a lifetime of dedication to this great game. It has been a very special journey for me to reach this point. For this honour, I would like to thank the ICC, BCCI, my coaches, family and friends who have continuously supported my career.
