The story behind this Dhanteras festival is that Lord Dhanvantari had appeared with the nectar pot on this day, hence this day is celebrated.

2-Narak Chaturdashi (Kali Chaudas/Chhoti Diwali)

The second day of Diwali is dedicated to Narak Chaturdashi. In many ways, it is also called Chhoti Diwali because it is celebrated a day before Big Diwali. The day of Naraka Chaudas is very special. After killing Narakasura, Lord Shri Krishna freed him. On this day, people take bath before sunrise and it is called Naraka Snan. It is said that one gets freedom from sins. 5-Bhai Dooj

The fifth day of Diwali is dedicated to Bhaidooj, this day is also like Rakshabandhan. On the day of Bhai Dooj, sisters apply tilak to their brothers and feed them sweets. On this day, sisters worship their brothers for their long life and prosperity and brothers promise to protect their sisters and support them throughout their life. The story about this day says that Yamunaji had invited her brother Yamraj to her house for food.
