Ingredients needed to make Brinjal Bharta

Onion finely chopped – 1
Green chilli finely chopped – 2,
Finely chopped garlic – 5,
Tomato – 1,
Turmeric – 1 tsp,
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp,
Garam masala – 1 tsp,
Chopped coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon,
Mustard oil, salt as per taste

How to make Brinjal Bharta

To make brinjal bharta, first wash the brinjal with water and cut it into two parts. Now, fry the brinjal on low flame. You can also fry tomatoes with brinjal. To roast it, cut it into two parts and fry it on medium flame of gas.

While the brinjal and tomatoes are roasting, chop the onion, coriander, garlic and chilli very finely. When the brinjal is roasted well, keep it in a vessel. When the brinjal and tomatoes cool down, peel off their burnt parts.

Now mash the cooked brinjal and tomato well in a bowl. When it gets mashed, add finely chopped onion, garlic, chilli, red chilli powder and garam masala and mix well. Lastly, add half spoon mustard oil and salt as per taste in the bharta. Garnish it with coriander over the bharta.
