According to the astrologer, if you look at the moon through a sieve during Karva Chauth, then you should always choose a sieve which is not broken anywhere. If possible, use a silver strainer.
Although it is not possible for everyone to choose a silver strainer, you should not use a plastic strainer even by mistake.
While worshiping Chandradev, you should look towards the east and chant the mantras of Moon. According to beliefs, the sound of mantras releases positive energy which also makes the environment calm.
It is said that if you worship the moon during Karva Chauth, then you should ensure that you keep a vessel filled with water at the place of worship and offer Arghya to the moon with the water kept in this vessel.
Water is considered a symbol of purity and it attracts positive energy. For this reason it is very important to use water during puja.
Apart from this, one special thing should be kept in mind that before worshiping the moon, you should clean the place thoroughly.
It is advisable to clean the place of worship with salt water to remove any negative energy. Keep in mind that wherever you are going to worship, there should not be any kind of garbage or dirt etc.
