Google Pixel 9 series in India is finally getting rounded up now that the Pixel 9 Pro model will soon be available in the country. The Pro model didn’t make it to the shelves till date which is quite a long time since the official Pixel 9 launch happened in August this year.
Google has since then started selling the regular Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in the country. Now, people will finally get a chance to pre-order the Pixel 9 Pro from Thursday and pick up their unit in the next few days.

The Pixel 9 Pro price in India starts from Rs 1,09,999 for the base model and the pre-orders start from October 17, 12:00 PM on Flipkart.

The Pixel 9 Pro is effectively the Pro XL model with the same camera system but a smaller screen. It is the iPhone 16 Pro rival in many ways, and Google’s pitch is loud and clear on the front. The Pixel 9 Pro sports a 6.3-inch Super Actua LTPO display with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. The 9 Pro weighs 199 grams and measures 8.5mm in thickness. The devices get IP68 rating which makes them dust and water resistant.
All the Pixel 9 series models are powered by the new Tensor G4 chipset which comes with advanced multi-modality AI tech built into the device. You get them with 12GB or 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The phones come with Android 14 out of the box but the Android 15 update is now available for these Pixel 9 phones. Google offers a host of AI features built into various apps from day one. Google also promises its recent 7 year OS and Pixel Drop update policy to keep the device last longer.
As for the imaging, the Pixel 9 Pro consists of a 50MP wide primary sensor with OIS + EIS, along with a 48MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens that also gets OIS and EI. For selfies you have a large 42MP dual camera on the front. The Pixel 9 Pro also doesn’t support fast wired charging speed and the charger has to be purchased separately.
