Nestle India's second quarter profit declines marginally to Rs 899.49 crore

The net profit of Nestle India Limited, a company making household items of daily use, declined by 0.94 percent to Rs 899.49 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year 2024-25.

Nestle India said in a stock exchange filing that in the quarter under review, the company faced high commodity prices and weak consumer demand for some of its key brands.

The net profit of the company in the second quarter (July-September) of the last financial year 2023-24 was Rs 908.08 crore.

Nestle India's income from sales of products increased by 1.3 percent to Rs 5,074.76 crore in the quarter under review, compared to Rs 5,009.52 crore in the same quarter last year.

Total expenditure increased by 3.42 per cent to Rs 4,090.09 crore in the July-September quarter.

Nestle India's domestic sales increased by 1.23 per cent to Rs 4,883.14 crore as against Rs 4,823.72 crore in the same period of July-September last year.

Its export income also increased by 3.13 percent to Rs 191.62 crore in the second quarter.

Net income of Nestle India, which owns popular brands like Maggi, Nescafe and Kit Kat, remained flat at Rs 5,110.86 crore as revenue from other income sources declined.
