This intriguing list, calculated using the Golden Ratio formula, was published in 2023 by Dr. Julian De Silva, a renowned facial cosmetic surgeon based in London.

What is the golden ratio rule?

The Golden Ratio, an ancient Greek formula, measures beauty using specific proportions. It’s calculated by dividing the length of the face by its width, with a result close to 1.618 indicating ideal beauty. This ratio can also be used to analyze individual facial features for a deeper understanding of aesthetics.

In Dr. De Silva’s analysis, 31-year-old Jodie Comer emerged at the top of the list, achieving an impressive score of 94.52 percent. “From my observations, Jodie Comer stands out because she nearly achieves facial perfection. Her lip and nose alignment earned an impressive 98.7 per cent. She also scored highly for the proportions of her nose, as well as the shape of her lips and positioning of her eyes. Comer’s chin is elegantly sculpted.”

According to The Economic Times, Dr. De Silva revealed that the list of the world’s top 10 most beautiful women also features an Indian actress, highlighting the global appreciation of beauty.

Deepika Padukone, one of India’s top-earning actresses, proudly holds the ninth spot on Dr. De Silva’s list of the world’s 10 most beautiful women, with an impressive score of 91.22 percent. In 2018, she also earned the title of the Sexiest Asian Woman from Eastern Eye, a UK newspaper, further solidifying her status as a global beauty icon.

The 38-year-old Deepika Padukone, who recently welcomed a baby girl with her husband Ranveer Singh, is set to make waves in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film Singham Again, slated for a theatrical release on November 1. As of 2024, she stands among Bollywood’s highest-paid actresses, earning between Rs 15 crore and Rs 30 crore per film, as reported by The Economic Times.
