Kawasaki KLX 230 design and competition

The KLX 230 has a minimalist but purposeful design that aims to minimize damage during off-road riding. It has a small headlight with a cowl, a high-set mudguard, a small fuel tank and a small tail. With a seat height of 880 mm, the bike is built for adventure and rugged use. The KLX 230 will be available in two color options: Lime Green and Battle Grey. In the Indian market it will compete with Hero XPulse 200 4V.

Kawasaki KLX 230 Engine Specifications

The KLX 230 is powered by a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 18.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 18.3Nm at 6,400rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox, which Kawasaki claims ensures a strong low and mid-range grunt, while also making it easy to cruise on the highway. The bike has a tubular steel frame, 37mm telescopic fork at the front and a link-type mono-shock with adjustable preload at the rear.
