Shah Rukh Khan’s Tribute to His Parents

Mumbai: Bollywood’s king, Shah Rukh Khan recently made emotional revelations in a podcast expressing his long standing desire to create blockbuster films that his parents could watch from heaven.

Shah Rukh shared that his parents had passed away before he began his film career and they could not witness his successes.

He said “I have always felt that I want to make great films that my parents can watch from heaven” He further added that he wanted to make his parents proud and stepped into the film industry with that spirit.

In the podcast Shah Rukh also talked about his famous film Devdas. He mentioned that many senior actors had advised him against taking on the role but he wanted to do it for his mother.

Shah Rukh stated “My mother was a star in the sky for me and I felt that if I did Devdas she would love it” It is worth noting that Devdas is considered one of the best films of Shah Rukh’s career featuring Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit in key roles.
