IPL 2025: Dale Steyn leaves the legendary IPL team

Delhi: Former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has announced that he will not return as the bowling coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, he has clarified that he will continue coaching with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20 league. Stan gave this information on social media.

Steyn was not with SRH in IPL 2024, as he had decided to withdraw from that season due to personal reasons. In his place, James Franklin was made the bowling coach of the Hyderabad team. SRH team was the runner-up in the last season.

The right-arm bowler wrote on Instagram, “Many thanks to Sunrisers Hyderabad for working as bowling coach in IPL for a few years. Unfortunately I will not be back for IPL 2025. “However, I will continue to work with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20 League, where our team has been a two-time winner.”
