If you need to update any details in your Aadhaar and you have not been able to do so, then the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the deadline for the facility to update Aadhaar for free. According to India Today report, you can now update your details in Aadhaar for free till December 14, 2024. Let us tell you that there is no free option available to update biometric details. To update biometrics, you will have to go to the Aadhaar center and pay the updating charge.

How to update Aadhaar for free
1. To update Aadhaar for free, first visit the UIDAI website.
2. Go to My Aadhaar portal on the homepage and log in by entering the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
3. Check your information and tick the box if all the information is correct.
4. If your demographic information is incorrect, go to the drop-down menu and select your identity documents.
5. After this upload the required documents.
6. Finally, you will get a 14 digit Update Request Number (URN), through which you can track the Aadhaar updating process.
