BJP can announce its candidates for Jharkhand assembly elections today i.e. on Thursday. Names of candidates for more than 40 seats are likely to be announced in the first list. The second list is also expected to be released within two to three days. Currently, five seats have been put on hold, the excitement regarding this has increased.

The names of candidates for 68 seats were considered in the Central Election Committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. Ranchi, Simaria, Paudeyahat, Hatia and Barkagaon have been put on hold during the meeting. There is a possibility of partial change in more than 40 seats on which the names of party candidates have been considered almost fixed by the party.

On Wednesday also a meeting was held in Delhi on the selection of candidates from Maharashtra. As per the decision taken in this meeting, the first list of Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be released. Babulal Marandi said that the decision of the high command on seat sharing will be final. State President Babulal Marandi, Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri, former Chief Minister Champai Soren and other state leaders returned to Ranchi on Wednesday afternoon.

While talking to the media in Ranchi, Babulal Marandi said that the Central Election Committee has been informed about the situation in Jharkhand and the seat-wise candidates. Now the further decision has to be taken by the central leadership. The list will be released in one to two days. Amar Kumar Bauri said that the official list will be released soon.
