As soon as the assembly elections begin in Jharkhand, all the parties are trying to unite their leaders, but a political stampede has started. Recently NDA i.e. BJP and AJSU have suffered a setback. Umakant Rajak from AJSU and Kedar Hazra from BJP have left the party.

This is not that big a blow for BJP, but AJSU has suffered a big blow with the departure of senior leader Umakant Rajak. Perhaps this is why the press conference to be held by NDA at the BJP office has been delayed.

A press conference was to be held in the BJP office at around 11 am, in which Sudesh Mahato of NDA's ally AJSU was also to attend. But before this, a big leader of his party, Umakant Rajak, has broken ties with AJSU.

The media people had reached the BJP office but the press conference could not start till around quarter to one o'clock. After receiving information about the delay, BJP's state in-charge, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma reached AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahato's house. After this Sudesh Mahato, Chandraprakash Choudhary and Ramchandra Sais reached BJP office. AJSU leaders including Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Himanta Sharma, Babulal Marandi attended the BJP press conference.
