With the help of Aneke Boshwa's unbeaten 74 runs, South Africa defeated one-time champion Australia by eight wickets and entered the final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Australia scored 134 runs for five wickets with the help of Beth Mooney's 44 runs and Ellyse Perry's 31 runs.
For the African team, Ayabonga Khaka lost two wickets for 24 runs. After winning the toss and fielding first, the South African team won the match by scoring 135 runs for two wickets in 17.2 overs. Anneke Bosch hit eight fours and one six in her innings of 48 balls. Opener and captain Laura Walward contributed 42 runs in 37 balls.
