New Delhi. For the assembly elections to be held in Jharkhand, seats have been divided among the parties involved in NDA. BJP will contest on 68 seats, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) on 10 seats, JDU on 2 seats and Chirag Paswan's LJP (Ram Vilas) party on 1 seat. Seat sharing was announced in the presence of leaders of all these allies in the state office of BJP. Voting is to be held in two phases for 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand. Voting for the first phase will be held on November 13, while for the second phase, voting will be held on November 20. The election results will be declared on 23 November.

After the announcement of seat sharing, Union Minister and BJP in-charge for Jharkhand elections, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that there has been a perfect seat sharing between BJP, AJSU, JDU and LJP in the state. We are winning the elections and NDA is forming the government.

Earlier, AJSU President Sudesh Mahato said, today, we have gathered on this platform to formally announce our participation in the upcoming elections in the state. Taking aim at JMM, he said every section of the society has been affected by the bad governance under the leadership that took power in 2019, no one is untouched, everyone is suffering and demanding relief. At the grassroots level, people are coming together and demanding the formation of a welfare government.

According to the Election Commission, this time around 2.6 crore voters will cast their votes in Jharkhand. Candidates can file their nominations for the first phase of elections till October 25. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on October 28 while the last date for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed for October 30. Whereas the notification for the second phase of elections will be released on October 22. Candidates can fill nomination forms till 29th October. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on October 30. Candidates can withdraw their names till 1 November.
