In such a situation, the answer to this question has been given by Ayurveda expert Dr. Deeksha Bhavsar. He has told about 3 herbs, which can help in keeping the liver healthy and strong.

1) Punarnava- It is an anti-inflammatory and diuretic herb. Punarnava helps restore liver function by removing toxins from liver cells. It also helps in improving digestive fire due to its appetite enhancing properties.

How to eat- It is usually used in the form of decoction. For this, boil 1 tablespoon coarse powder of myrobalan (about 10 grams) in 2 cups of water. Till it reduces to half, then filter it and drink it.

2) Bhumi-Amalaki- Bhumi-Amalaki helps support a healthy immune response in the body against any topical inflammation or stress that can affect the liver. Additionally, it promotes natural detoxification in the liver against environmental factors. All these things promote a healthy and functioning liver.

How to eat- Half teaspoon of Bhumi-Amalaki powder can be consumed with warm water on an empty stomach or 2 hours after eating.

3) Bhringraj- Bhringraj is an excellent herb used as a liver tonic. It is beneficial in managing liver disorders like fatty liver and jaundice. It works by balancing pitta and promoting bile flow.

How to eat- Take 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon with warm water once or twice a day before or after meals.
