Mumbai For the Maharashtra Assembly elections, no decision has been taken on seat sharing between Congress on one side, Uddav Thackeray's Shiv Sena-UBT and Sharad Pawar's NCP's Mahavikas Aghadi. Before this, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has made his move. Akhilesh Yadav reached Mumbai on Friday. After talking to his party leaders there, Akhilesh Yadav has announced the names of 4 candidates from Samajwadi Party. Earlier, Samajwadi Party Maharashtra President and MLA Abu Asim Azmi had demanded 12 seats from Mahavikas Aghadi.

Akhilesh Yadav has made Abu Asim Azmi the candidate from Shivaji Nagar, Raees Shaikh from Bhiwandi East, Riyaz Azmi from Bhiwandi West and Shaan-e-Hind from Malegaon. That is, he has made it clear that even if Mahavikas Aghadi fields its candidates on these seats, Samajwadi Party will definitely contest the assembly elections on these 4 seats of Maharashtra. Earlier, Abu Asim Azmi had said that Samajwadi Party must contest elections on all those seats where it is strong.

If we look at the issue of seat sharing between Mahavikas Aghadi, then the news about the alliance is that Congress, Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar have agreed on the sharing of 258 seats out of 288. Apart from this, there is difference of opinion in Mahavikas Aghadi on the issue of CM face. Where Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena-UBT is pressurizing him to contest Maharashtra Assembly elections with CM face. At the same time, Congress and Sharad Pawar say that after the elections, the CM of Mahavikas Aghadi should be decided according to the number of seats. Maharashtra Assembly elections are to be held on November 20. If we talk about the results of 2019, BJP had won 105 seats, undivided Shiv Sena 56, undivided NCP 54 and Congress 44 seats.
