Bhagalpur: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Friday took a dig at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for his silence on the Bahraich incident and said the SP leader always thinks about his vote bank. SP leaders avoid commenting on incidents against Hindus to protect Muslim votes and claim to be pro-Muslim. That is why his stance reflects his “anti-Hindu” DNA.

Giriraj Singh claimed that Akhilesh Yadav's DNA (anti-Hindu) is “anti-Hindu”. For this, his late father and former UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav also mentioned the incident of police ordering firing on kar sevaks in 1990. Along with this, Akhilesh Yadav did not say a single word on the Bahraich incident for the sake of votes, because his DNA is anti-Hindu. His father Mulayam Singh Yadav had also ordered firing on the kar sevaks.

Giriraj Singh also targeted other India Bloc leaders and said, “Tejashwi Yadav will not utter a single word on Bahraich. Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav or Akhilesh Yadav will not say anything on Bengal. This is all for Muslim votes.”

Meanwhile, security was beefed up outside the district hospital here on Friday after two accused in the Bahraich violence case were admitted to the hospital after being injured in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh Police. Police said that on October 17, two accused, Sarfaraz and Mohammad Talib, who were trying to flee to Nepal, were shot in the leg by the Uttar Pradesh Police.

Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force, Amitabh Yash said that five accused have also been arrested in the case. Amitabh Yash said, “A total of five people, the main accused in the case, have been arrested. There was a brief firing, in which two people were injured. The injured include Sarfaraz and Mohammad Talib. “Nobody has died and the injured have been taken to hospital.”

ADGP (Law and Order) of STF of Uttar Pradesh said that two people were injured in the encounter, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Ram Gopal Mishra was killed while several others were injured in a clash between two communities during a Durga idol immersion procession in Mahsi area of ​​Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.
