Information about this Staurikosaurus dinosaur is found that in 1936, paleontologist Llewellyn Ivor Prince discovered a remarkable fossil specimen in the Santa Maria Formation of southern Brazil. He said that the remains of this dinosaur were found. That discovery, which scientists later identified as Staurikosaurus, has become a cornerstone in our understanding of dinosaur evolution. Additionally, radiocarbon dating techniques revealed that Staurikosaurus lived during the late Triassic period, approximately 225 million years ago. This ancient predator is called the 'Southern Cross Lizard'.
