Pant has become a victim of nervous nineties 7 times. If Pant had scored one run, he would have created a new record by surpassing Dhoni. He would have become the Indian wicket-keeper batsman to score the most centuries in Test cricket but Pant could not do so in this match. Pant and Dhoni have 6-6 centuries in their names. Ever since Pant made his comeback, he seems to be in a different rhythm. In the last five innings, he has scored 50 plus every time he batted during the third innings. During this period he has also scored a century twice.
