BJP fields Navya Haridas against Priyanka Gandhi in Wayanad Bypoll | Details

New Delhi: The Bharitya Janata Party on Saturday fielded Navya Haridas as its candidate against Congress leader Priyanka for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election. The seat earlier fell vacant after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi resigned after winning from both Wayanath and Raebareli constituencies.

Apart from Kerala, the party announced the names of 24 other candidates for bypolls in Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and West Bengal.

The party has also fielded former Vidisha MP Ramakant Bhargava, from Budhni. He had earlier vacated the seat for Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Another candidate Ramniwas Rawat has been has been named asx a candidate for Vijaypur constituency in the state.

Former Karnataka’s CM’s son fielded from Shigao

For two Shigao and Sandur constituencies in Karnataka, the BJP has named Bharat Vasavaraj Bommai and Bangaru Hanumantu to contest in two seats respectively. Bharat Vasavaraj Bommai is the son of former state Chief Minister Vaswaraj Bommai.

Vishal Prashant, the son of former MLA Sunil Pandey has been given tickets from Tarari assembly seat in Bihar, Ashok Kumar Singh has been fielded from Ramgarh in the state. Rajendra Bhambu from Jhunjhunu Sukhwant Singh from Ramgarh have been given tickets. Similarly for bypolls in Rajastha, the party has fielded Jagmohan Meena from Dausa, Rajendra Gurjar from Deoli-Uniyara, Revant Ram Danga from Khinvsar and Shanta Devi Meena from Salumbhar constituencies.

Six West Bengal constituencies to go on bypolls

Notably, six assembly seats will gon polls in West Bengal on November 13. Deepak Kumar Roy has been nominated from Sitai, Rahul Lohar from Madarihat seat, Rupak Mitra from Naihati, Bimal Das from Haroa, Shubojit Roy from Medinipur and Ananya Roy Chakraborty from Taldanga constituencies.
