Bike News Desk – Chennai-based electric startup Raptee.HV has launched its first electric motorcycle in the Indian market. It is a high-voltage e-motorcycle. This startup says that the technology used in its design is used for electric cars around the world. Broadly speaking, this electric bike can compete with 250cc to 300cc petrol bikes. The company has fixed its starting ex-showroom price at Rs 2.39 lakh.

The company has also started booking it with the launch. It can be booked with the help of the company's website. For this, customers will have to pay a token amount of Rs 1,000. The company will start its delivery from January 2025. First of all it will be delivered to the customers of Bengaluru and Chennai. Later it will be sent for delivery to other 10 cities of the country. You will be able to buy it in four color options: white, red, gray and black.

Talking about the look of this motorcycle, it looks quite sporty. Most of the bike is covered and along with stylish LED headlight, it has a touchscreen digital instrument cluster. In which details like speed, battery health, time, stand, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation are available. It has a split seat. The company claims that it can be charged from 20% to 80% in 40 minutes. Apart from this, with the fast charger the battery can be charged 50 Km in just 20 minutes. This electric motorcycle has a 240 volt battery with 5.4kWh capacity. It gives IDC certified range of 200Km in a single charge. The company claims that the real world range is 150Km. The electric motor of this bike generates peak power of 22kW which is equivalent to 30 bhp power and 70 Newton meter torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. Yes, its top speed is 135Km/h. It has 3 riding modes, which include Comfort, Power and Sprint.

This electric motorcycle comes with an onboard charger, which is also available at CCS2 car charging stations across the country. Equipped with high-voltage (HV) technology, this motorcycle is also the first bike in the country to come with a universal charging system. It is used in electric cars. The company says that at present their number is 13,500 units.
