Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep breaks down at mother's funeral – See emotional PHOTO

New Delhi: Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep was inconsolable as he mourned the passing of his mother, Saroja Sanjeev, on Sunday (October 20) morning in Bengaluru. The actor, known for his powerful on-screen presence, showed his emotional side during the funeral rituals as he stayed close to his mother’s mortal remains. Several well-wishers, including political leaders and members of the Kannada film industry, visited Sudeep’s home to offer their condolences and pay their last respects.

Among those who came to support the actor during this heartbreaking moment was former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S. Bommai.

A touching photo shared on X (formerly Twitter) captured Sudeep breaking down in Bommai’s arms. The former Chief Minister shared the moment with his followers, writing, “Actor Sudeep paid last darshan of his mother who passed away today and condoled with the family members.”

Earlier in the day, Bommai had also expressed his grief on social media. “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing away of Smt Saroja, the mother of the famous film actor and dear @KicchaSudeep. I pray to God to grant actor Sudeep and his family the strength to bear the grief of their mother’s death and may the departed soul rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti,” Bommai wrote in his heartfelt tribute.

DK Shivakumar offers condolences

Additionally, Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, also extended his condolences to the grieving actor. On X, he wrote, “Actor Mr. Kiccha Sudeep’s mother Mrs. Saroja was heartbroken to hear the news of her passing away. I pray that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace and may the Lord grant Sudeep and his family the strength to bear the pain of bereavement. Om Shanti.”

The Kannada film fraternity also expressed their sorrow for the actor. Kantara star Rishab Shetty shared his sympathy, tweeting, “My deepest condolences to you, @KicchaSudeep Sir, on the loss of your beloved mother. May her soul rest in peace, and may you and your family find strength and comfort during this difficult time.”
