Be it Congress or Samajwadi Party, development of Banaras was neither a priority for them before, nor will it ever be in future: PM Modi
PM Modi in Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, where he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development works in Varanasi. Therefore, when Babatpur Airport will be further expanded, you will benefit more. Today work on this has also started.
Today, Kashi is identified with the grand and divine abode of Baba Vishwanath. Today Kashi is identified with the Rudraksh Convention Centre. Today Kashi is identified by the Ring Road and infrastructure projects. Today a facility like ropeway is being built in Kashi. Our government is now going to build 3 crore more new houses. Even in Banaras, the women who have not got PM Awas houses will also be given these houses as soon as possible.
The PM said, earlier Kashi was left to its own devices. Therefore, today I am raising a question before every resident of Kashi – what is the mentality due to which Kashi was deprived of development in the first place? Remember the situation 10 years ago… Banaras was yearning for development. The answer is politics of familyism and appeasement. Be it Congress or Samajwadi Party…such parties did not give priority to the development of Banaras before, nor will it ever do so in the future. These parties also discriminated in development.
I have given a call from the Red Fort – I will bring one lakh such youth of the country, whose families have nothing to do with politics, into politics. This is a campaign to change the direction of Indian politics. This is a campaign to eradicate corruption and family mentality.
