Bahraich violence: Lucknow High Court bans bulldozer action, case reaches Supreme Court

Lucknow: Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has banned bulldozer action in Bahraich. The High Court has given 15 days time to the victims to respond to the notice of the Public Works Department (PWD). Along with this, the High Court has sought an answer from the Public Works Department as to whether the road passing in front of the shops where the notices have been pasted is rural, urban or a highway.

At the same time, relatives of the three accused in the Bahraich violence have filed a petition in the Supreme Court to stop the bulldozer action of the Public Works Department. The daughter of Abdul Hameed, the main accused in the violence, is also among those who filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

Notice pasted on 3 Hindu shops also

Let us tell you that the Public Works Department had pasted notices on 23 shops in Maharajganj of Bahraich. Of the three shops where notices have been pasted, there are 20 Muslim shops and 3 Hindu shops. It is written in the notice that Kundasar-Mahsi-Nanapar is a major district road. According to departmental standards, those who have shops within 60 feet of the middle of the road. Construction within 60 feet of the middle of the road without departmental permission comes under the category of encroachment. People whose houses and shops are built on Public Works Department land without permission. Remove them within three days. Otherwise departmental action will be taken. It is also written in the notice that if you have done this construction with the permission of the District Magistrate, Bahraich or prior departmental permission, then provide its original copy immediately.

People are demolishing their own shops due to fear of bulldozer action

Even though the High Court has not stopped the bulldozer action of the Public Works Department, the people on whose shops notices have been pasted have themselves started demolishing their shops. These people fear that after the bulldozer action the entire shop will be turned into debris. The victims are breaking the shop themselves to safely take out the bricks and rods.

Security increased at the house of deceased Ram Gopal

Security has been increased outside the house of Ram Gopal, who was killed in the Bahraich violence. The deceased's father Kailash on Thursday warned of self-immolation if he did not get justice. While talking to media persons, Kailash said that we are satisfied with the help of the government. But the accused were not killed like they killed my son.

89 accused of Bahraich violence arrested

Police are continuously arresting the accused in Bahraich violence. So far the police have arrested 89 accused. Everyone has been produced in the court and sent to police custody. Ayodhya MP Avadhesh Prasad cornered the Yogi government on the bulldozer action. Said- There is death penalty in law. But not a bulldozer. Yogi Baba wants to run a separate law in the state.
