An orphan girl in Jharkhand has been adopted by a couple from Arizona, America. With this the girl has got a new life and a family. The process of adopting the girl child was completed under the supervision of the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA).

This 15-month-old girl was found abandoned in the bushes near Govindpur-Dhanbad Highway in the year 2023. A passerby had admitted the girl to Asarfi Hospital in critical condition, where she was treated. The girl's condition was critical at that time.

According to the agency, Todd Banks, who came from Arizona, America, is a businessman by profession. He reached Dhanbad with his sister and CARA officials and completed the process of adopting the girl. Todd Banks's wife is a professor at the University of Arizona. She could not come to India for some reason.

District Chairman of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of Dhanbad, Uttam Mukherjee said that this girl was specially kept at the center of Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA). No member of the girl's family came to claim her, so CWC uploaded her on CARA's portal for adoption.

Coincidentally, Todd Banks and his wife had also applied on CARA's portal to adopt a child. After this, the central agency CARA matched their application and the information of the girl and selected this girl for them.

After this, the adoption process was completed on Saturday and the girl was handed over to Todd Bank. On this occasion, CARA Project Officer Neeraj Dey, CWC Chairman Uttam Mukherjee, District Child Protection Officer Sadhna Kumari and other officials were present.

CWC President Uttam Mukherjee said that the girl has got a new life. This method of adoption will not only provide a better future to the child, but it is also a ray of hope for those orphans who are waiting for a family in their life. Now this girl will make a new beginning with a new home and family in Arizona, where she will find love and people who care for her.
