Threat to blow up 6 Indigo planes with bombs… 70 emergency landings in a week, action taken after Rs 200 crore smoke

New Delhi: The series of threats to blow up planes has been continuing for the last one week. Emergency landings of 6 Indigo passenger planes took place across the country on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday, emergency landing of 30 planes had taken place. Due to which the passengers had to face problems for hours. Indigo has issued a press release giving information regarding the incident.

Let us tell you that in the last one week, due to bomb threats, about 70 planes have made emergency landings across the country. However, no explosive of any kind has been recovered from even a single aircraft. All the threats have proved to be false. Due to these threats, various flight companies have suffered a loss of approximately Rs 200 crore.

Center removed DGCA chief

The Home Ministry has come into action regarding false threats to bomb planes. In this regard, a detailed report has been sought from the Civil Aviation Ministry and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. CISF, NIA and IB have also been asked to submit reports. Apart from this, the Center has removed DGCA chief Vikram Dev Dutt from the post. Now he has been made Secretary in the Coal Ministry. It is being said that action has been taken against the DGCA Chief due to continuous threats to blow up the planes.

Mumbai Police arrested the minor

Only one arrest has been made in this case so far. Mumbai Police has detained a minor for spreading false news of bomb. The accused had given a bomb threat on an Indigo flight on October 14. As far as Delhi is concerned, the police have registered 10 cases, but not a single arrest has been made so far. Apart from this, the government has blocked 10 social media accounts making fake claims of there being a bomb on the plane.

Indian planes are safe in the sky

Yesterday, senior officials of airline companies had met officers of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). Bureau Director General Zulfikar Hasan assured them that Indian flights are completely safe.
