The challans of Rs 1000 and Rs 2000 have been amended in the Motor Vehicles Act of 1998, which will impose a fine of Rs 2,000 on two-wheeler riders for not wearing a helmet or not wearing it properly, as an immediate penalty. Apart from this, if you are wearing a helmet, but it is open, i.e. the strap is not attached, then also a fine of Rs 1,000 will be imposed. Therefore always wear helmet properly… avoid being hasty.

If you do not have budget problem then you can also buy helmets costing Rs 2000 or more which are equipped with high quality. You can choose full face or open face helmet.. but you will get complete protection only from full face helmet.
