New Delhi : After 4 years, the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly i.e. WTSA is going to inaugurate the first Telecom Standards Meeting and Indian Mobile Congress to be organized by the International Telecommunication Union of the United Nations i.e. ITU in India on October 15 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. . This information has been clearly given in the invitations sent by both these programs.
The World Telecommunications Standardization Assembly (WTSA) conference is held every 4 years. The recommendations and proposals accepted in it decide the direction of development of communication technology. ITU said in an official statement, “ITU is pleased to announce that WTSA-24 will be inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Tuesday 15 October 2024.”
8th season of India Mobile Congress 2024
The 8th season of India Mobile Congress 2024, supported by the Department of Telecom, will also be organized simultaneously with WTSA 2024. The annual India Mobile Congress (IMC) has almost doubled in size from last year with participation from multiple countries, exhibitors, startups, etc.

Britain may also participate in the next season
IMC Chief Executive Officer i.e. CEO Ramakrishna P said in the statement, “This time IMC is going to be much bigger and better, as global participation has almost doubled compared to last year. This time, more than 120 countries are expected to participate, strengthening IMC's position as Asia's largest technology expo and a major force in global digital transformation. “We are seeing increased participation from the UK, Japan, Sweden, Finland and other countries in the coming season.”

Let us tell you that participation of more than 400 exhibitors, about 900 startups and more than 120 countries is expected in IMC 2024. Last year, IMC recorded participation from over 230 exhibitors, 400 startups and around 67 countries.
