Shami played a long bowling session in the nets in Bengaluru

Bengaluruबेंगलुरु: Senior India fast bowler Mohammed Shami bowled for nearly an hour in the nets without any problem on Sunday, indicating progress in his recovery process after undergoing surgery earlier this year. Shami came to the nets after India's first Test against New Zealand and bowled under the supervision of bowling coach Morne Morkel.

The 34-year-old Shami, who played his last match for the national team in the 2023 ODI World Cup final, bowled to India assistant coach Abhishek Nair. Shami, who had his left foot bandaged, found his stride after starting with a short run-up and soon bowled his full run-up and at good pace, often leaving Nair behind.
