Honda CB300F: India's first 300cc flex-fuel bike launched…

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its new CB300F Flex-Fuel bike, which is India's first 300cc flex-fuel motorcycle. This bike will run on E85 fuel, which is a mixture of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol, making it an eco-friendly option.

Price and Booking

– Price: ₹1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

– Booking: Customers can book it at Honda BigWing dealerships.

This model was displayed for the first time at the Bharat Mobility Show.

Design and features

The look and design of the CB300F is sporty and muscular, making it an attractive option. It includes modern features like LED headlights and digital instrument console. Ethanol indicator is also provided, which helps in monitoring the fuel status in the bike's display.

– Engine: 293.5cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine

– Power: 24.5 bhp

– Torque: 25.9 Nm

– Gearbox: 6-speed transmission

The bike also includes safety features like ABS and traction control.

Front: Golden-Colored Up-Side-Down (USD) Fork

Rear: monoshock suspension

Braking System: Single disc brake on both wheels and dual-channel ABS.

Importance of Flex-Fuel in India

Use of E85 fuel reduces greenhouse gas emissions, thereby increasing environmental responsibility. Moreover, use of ethanol-petrol blend will help in reducing dependence on oil imports and will also boost the local agriculture industry. The move is part of India's Green Mobility Mission, which is designed to encourage alternative fuels.
