PM Modi expressed grief over Dholpur road accident, announced ex-gratia
New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi today expressed grief over the death of 12 people in a road accident in Dholpur, Rajasthan and announced ex-gratia for the families of the victims.
In this regard, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a post on 'X', “The accident in Dholpur, Rajasthan is heartbreaking. My condolences to the bereaved families of those who lost their lives, including innocent children. May God give them the strength to bear this pain. Along with this, I wish speedy recovery of all the injured.

In this regard, the PMO said that under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in providing all possible assistance to the victims. The PMO said in another post that the Prime Minister announced ex-gratia for the victims of the incident. PMO said, “An ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh each has been announced from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to the families of each of the deceased. Rs 50 thousand will be given to the injured.
The Prime Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF for the next of kin of each deceased in the mishap in Dholpur, Rajasthan. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.

Please note that 12 people died in a road accident on the Karauli-Dholpur highway in Dholpur district of Rajasthan. This accident happened near Sunipur village when there was a massive collision between a sleeper coach bus and a tempo.
The deceased have been identified as Irfan alias Bunty (38), Julie (34), Asma (14), Salman (eight), Sakir (six), Sanif (nine), Azaan (five), Zarina (35), Asiana (10), Sufi (seven), Parveen (32) and Danish (10).
Police said that Sajid (who was injured in the accident has been sent from Dholpur to Agra for treatment. It was also told that the bodies have also been sent for post-mortem. The bodies will be handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem today i.e. on Sunday. And the matter is currently being investigated from all angles (with agency inputs).
