The trio of Russia, India and China will join BRICS, Russian Foreign Minister's statement before the summit

Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's statement has come before the BRICS Summit, infuriating Western countries including America. He talked about the triumvirate of India, Russia and China (RIC). They confirmed its existence. Also said that despite not meeting for some time due to various circumstances, the Triumvirate remains an independent mechanism.

This statement of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has come just before the BRICS Summit. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to participate in the 16th BRICS summit being held in Kazan city of Russia on the invitation of President Vladimir Putin. This will be PM Modi's second visit to Russia this year.

PM Modi will leave for Russia today to attend the BRICS Summit. Earlier he had visited Russia in July. During the interview, Lavrov said that BRICS is a symbol of long-standing changes in the global economy. The Russian Foreign Minister said that for more than a year and for several decades, the center of global development has been shifting from the Euro Atlantic region to Asia-Pacific and Eurasia.

BRICS summit on 22-23 October

The two-day BRICS summit will be held on 22-23 October in Kazan city of Russia. This is the first summit of the organization after its expansion. BRICS is an important grouping bringing together the world's rapidly emerging economies and developing countries. Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and UAE have joined this organization this year.

Leaders of 24 countries will participate in BRICS summit

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, during his visit the Prime Minister is likely to hold meetings with his counterparts from BRICS member countries in Kazan. Apart from this, bilateral meetings are also expected with the invited leaders. According to Russian President's Assistant Yuri Ushakov, leaders of 24 countries and delegations from a total of 32 countries will participate in the BRICS summit held in Kazan. In this way, it will become the largest foreign policy event ever organized in Russia.
