There was a terrorist attack on Sunday in Ganderbal of Kashmir Valley. 7 people were killed in this attack. There was a local doctor and 6 outsiders in it. One of these 6 people was Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Punjab. Gurmeet was 45 years old. He used to work as a laborer in Kashmir. He was talking to his wife when the terrorists attacked. Meanwhile he got shot. He told this to his wife on the phone itself. This heart-wrenching story has been narrated by Gurmeet's father. On Sunday evening, terrorists attacked an under-construction tunnel in Gund, Ganderbal. One doctor and six non-local laborers were killed in this. Five people were injured and are undergoing treatment.

Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Sakhowal village in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, also lost his life in this attack. Gurmeet told his wife – he has been shot. Gurmeet's father Dharam Singh said that when the terrorists attacked in Ganderbal, Gurmeet was on the phone. Was talking to my wife. He got shot in the firing by the terrorists. He told his wife that he had been shot. Dharam Singh said that after the attack, the family got information that he had died. Gurmeet was living in Kashmir for the last 5 years. Gurmeet's father told that he was living in Kashmir for the last 5 years. He was associated with the company for many years. A relative of Gurmeet said that the family's expenses were covered only by his earnings. The family consists of wife, two daughters, son and parents.

He has appealed to the government for help. The family members are saddened by his death. Family and relatives are inconsolable.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed grief over the Ganderbal terrorist attack. He said, it is a matter of great regret that many lives were lost in this attack that took place last night in Gagangir. Some people have also been injured. This attack cannot be condemned enough. We have been seeing this for the last 35 years but nothing has changed in Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists want to show through this attack that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is not completely good.
