JDU made Saryu Rai the candidate from Jamshedpur West and Raja Peter from Tamar, Jhapa fielded his brother against MLA Vikas Munda.

Ranchi: JDU has announced both its candidates for Jharkhand Assembly elections. Former minister Saryu Rai from Jamshedpur and former minister Raja Peter from Tamar have been made candidates. JDU working president Sanjay Jha gave this information.

Sanjay Jha said that the party has its base in Jharkhand, both the selected candidates of the party have been MLAs and ministers in Jharkhand. We have urged the top leaders of NDA that JDU should be given more seats. JDU had demanded 11 seats in the NDA alliance but they have been given only two seats, while AJSU has been given 10 and LJP Ram Vilas has been given one seat.

Jharkhand Party has fielded his brother Rajkumar Munda as its candidate against the current MLA of Tamar, Vikas Munda. Rajkumar Munda, son of former Tamar MLA late Ramesh Singh Munda, will be the candidate from Jharkhand Party, while current MLA Vikas Munda will be the candidate from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Jharkhand Party has so far released the list of 20 candidates. Party supremo Enos Ekka has fielded his daughter Irene Ekka from Simdega and Sandesh Ekka from Kolebira.
