Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has stated Virat Kohli to be the fittest cricketer in the current team.
Shami, who recently had an ankle injury and is going through a recovery phase, told Sports Thank you that the Virat Kohli has always been at the highest position (if talking about fittest players). He then added that the Indian cricket team is thought of as the fittest team in the world.
“Virat Kohli has always been kept at the top. But there are a lot of players in our Indian team who are considered to be the fittest. They have shown their skills and fitness. Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja. Fast bowlers are always strong. Bowlers have always been strong. But if you look at batting, there are a lot of strong features,” Shami told Sports Thank you.
Indian team is currently having a Test series against New Zealand, where they have lost the first Test by 8 wickets. The second match is set to take place in Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
