Archery: Archer Deepika Kumari won medal in Archery World Cup after six years

Veteran Indian woman archer Deepika Kumari, who faced criticism after a disappointing performance at the Paris Olympics 2024, won a silver medal at the Archery World Cup. Deepika lost to Li Jiaman of China in the final of the tournament but managed to win the silver medal.

She defeated Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Alexandra Valencia of Mexico 6-4 in the semi-finals and China's Yang 6-0 in the quarter-finals. Deepika won her last medal in the Archery World Cup in 2018. Deepika's team lost in the quarter-finals in the Paris Olympic team event. In the individual event, he lost to South Korea's Suhyeon in the quarterfinals with a score of 2–6.
